Beginner Fly Fishing Instruction

Fly Fishing Made Easy  

Interested in learning about fly fishing and it's many benefits? Join us for a fun introduction to fly fishing with basic beginner information including equipment, safety, lines, leaders, knots, basic fly patterns, fly fishing strategies and casting. Our program includes a 1 hour sit-down introductory to fly fishing session followed by a 1 hour casting clinic.

Additional on-water fly fishing lessons are available to further your fly fishing journey. You'll refine your casting skills in real world situations, learn how to read a river, how to identify fish holding locations, basic fly selections, fishing strategies, techniques, line control and more. This is an outdoor fishing experience for beginners with either 2 or 3 hour sessions on a local river in SE Minnesota. This is a great way to accelerate your learning experience and to build knowledge, confidence & independence. Plus, you'll most likely catch fish!
